Sustainability and environmental friendliness were high priorities for Wearwell as the business navigated the complexities of developing the FOUNDATION modular work platforms. In fact, long before sustainability and the idea of green practice became popular, Wearwell was creating and implementing sustainable methods of product development for over 70 years. Originally known as Tennessee Mat company, Wearwell was founded in 1950 by two entrepreneurial gents, Max and Charley, who saw an opportunity to convert old tires into high quality industrial anti fatigue mats for the standing worker. Wearwell was a green company well before sustainability became popular in modern business, and today, Wearwell continues to innovate with the 2021 launch of FOUNDATION modular work platforms. Capitalizing on our proficiencies and tradition of sustainable product development we’re proud to unveil a modular work platform that is ergonomic, sustainable, and adheres to the standards of our company’s history.

SUSTAINABLE SURFACES

FOUNDATION tiles are manufactured using 100% recycled post-consumer Polypropylene. The result is two fold: Wearwell creates a modular work platform that can withstand any industrial or household application and does so with reuse and recycling at the forefront. In addition to their environmental consciousness, FOUNDATION tiles are built strong, with each tile rated to a 400 lb load rating (177 lbs per sq. ft.). Enhancing their environmental impact, each tile can be replaced individually if it experiences excess wear, and resultantly the entire system does not need to be replaced.

MADE IN THE USA

The manufacturing of FOUNDATION modular work platforms is wholly within the United States, thus reducing the environmental impact of intercontinental emissions and proves testament to Wearwell’s commitment to quality industrial product design. FOUNDATION platforms can expand or reconfigure as needed, reducing unnecessary material waste produced from disposing of traditional inefficient wood or metal work platforms.
