The benefit of anti-fatigue matting is no joke; it increases team productivity, promotes blood circulation, and decreases absenteeism. But from time-to-time we like to reflect on anti-fatigue matting blunders to laugh and learn. In these examples, we take a look at some “nice try’s,” and show you how to easily correct these quirky matting quandaries:
1. These mats that were a “rip” off
Ripped mats need to go. They are eyesores that can cause slips and trips! Put these poor mats out of their misery. There are inexpensive anti-fatigue mat options that are also tear-resistant. These anti-fatigue options will ensure your team stays in top shape while preventing any trip hazard created by old torn anti-fatigue mats.
2. It’s time to reduce, reuse, and RECYCLE these ‘mats’
This makes us ☹. These workers are clearly suffering from the wear and tear of working on concrete! People perform better, miss fewer days, and have higher company loyalty if they just have a decent anti-fatigue mat.
3. Disconnected mats lead to connecting with the floor
We can just see the crash to the floor imminently awaiting those walking over these mats. This eyesore should be replaced by anti-fatigue floor tiles that won’t come apart.
4. These anti-fatigue mats that are a little too close for comfort
This awkward position is attempting to make up for these mats lack in cushion. This is not the way to make employees happy or safe. Start with an anti-fatigue mat with the right level of support from the beginning.
5. Flying carpets are cool, flying mats are NOT
Every time this mat slides into cabinets and loses another chunk, you take a heart rate rising trip on your flying mat. With an anti-slip mat, you can keep your heart rate and mat in good shape.
Overall, it is important to buy the right mat in the first place or at least replace your mats when the time comes. Hopefully these examples will help prevent some of these "what not to do" situations.
