Q: What's special about urethane?
A: Urethane is an extremely resilient and durable material used in items you use everyday. From automotive manufacturing to production of insoles, polyurethane is the material of choice because of its resilience (the ability to compress and rebound back to its original form)
Q: How long will the mat last in use?
A: The life expectancy of Urethane matting and flooring will vary based on several factors: the number of shifts per day, the amount of foot traffic and the environment. When used in the recommended dry area environment, it's not uncommon for these kinds of products to last 10 years or more even with heavy foot traffic. Your results will vary with your usage and environmental patterns.
Q: Can I place chair or stool on it?
A: We do see it successfully used that way when the stool/chair has larger casters or broader "feet" to disperse the weight.
Q: Will this mat absorb water?
A: These urethane mats are recommended for dry areas, but they are completely encapsulated making it easy to clean with mild detergent and water. Getting the mat wet will not hurt the mat. It is not made for consistently wet areas.
