Modular flooring is a type of floor covering that can be laid out over any floor, and is designed to cover large areas quickly. Made up of tiles that can connect on all four sides to create a seamless floor in any size or shaped area. Modular flooring is perfect for a custom-fit around machines to provide exceptional antifatigue and ergonomic support of workers. Because these products "snap together," they are often referred to as interlocking modular floor tiles, snap together flooring, interlocking floor systems or commercial modular flooring systems. Like anti-fatigue matting, some modular floor tiles are designed for drainage and wet areas (interlocking drainage mats), some are slip resistant to help workers walk with traction, and some are designed purely for anti-fatigue properties, and to be able to support the worker so they can perform at their best, day after day.
We all know that people do not always just sit or stand when they work - they move around. Standing workers move back and forth, up and down, and may walk all around their workstation to complete their duties. When people work like this, they can tire quickly, and working on concrete can be a major factor in contributing to soreness, painful legs, and overall decreased wellness of the worker in motion. The result; significantly decreased productivity of standing/active workers. Workers need to be supported from the floor up, but sometimes a simple 2x3 or 3x5 mat just won’t work. The worker would have to walk off and then back onto the mat too many times during the course of their work to be safe. This is why modular flooring was created and why Wearwell offers modular flooring for any work environment.
