Static Electricity can produce damaging sparks that can ruin and destroy expensive equipment. 24/SEVEN LockSafe ESD eliminates static while providing an ergonomic work surface for your team to perform. Made to cover large areas quickly, the 770 ESD can be placed directly atop a conductive coating or floor, eliminating the need for messy grounding cords. For more conventional installations, each tile comes with the grounding snap already installed for use with a grounding cord. The ‘positive interlock’ technology allows the rubber tiles to lock in while remaining easy enough to ‘unzip’ for reconfiguration. Around electronics keeping a work area clean is very important. The LockSafe connection system allows the mat to be rolled up to make keeping a cleaning easier.

NOTE: Unless used over a conductive floor, mats must be grounded with a ground cord (793-Cord) and users must wear a heel grounder (793-Heel)

  • U.S. PATENT NO. D882,293 S
  • Tiles interlock securely and come apart on demand for reconfiguration

  • Cover large areas with ESD dissipative ergonomic flooring in minutes
  • Grease resistant rubber best in lightly wet and slippery dry areas
  • Grounding snap on each mat
  • Safety ramps do not posses ESD properties
  • 3’x 3’(91x91cm) rubber tiles

Your Rating

Q: What is an NFSI Certification?

A: These products have been tested by the National Floor Safety Institute per the NFSI 101-C Test Method and have passed the NFSI “High-Traction” standard.

Q: Do I need conductive or Static Dissipative flooring?

A: From a technical point of view, the answer is to confirm the OHM rating required by your application, then choose the product that meets your required OHM rating. Conductive products have a lower OHM rating. That means that there is less resistance and therefore, conductive products will allow static electricity to ground out faster than a static dissipative product, which has a higher OHM rating, and therefore higher resistance.

Q: What does the OHM rating tell me?

A: An OHM is a unit of measure that defines electrical resistance between two points. The lower the OHM reading the lower the resistance to electricity passing through and therefore the faster electricity can pass through to ground. There is a specific range of OHM ratings that define the difference between a conductive product and a static dissipative product. Choose the product which has an OHM rating that meets the requirements of your application.

Q: What is ESD?

A: ESD (Electrostatic discharge) is the sudden flow of electricity between two electrically charged objects caused by contact. ESD is the cause for that annoying "zap" you get when you reach for a metal door handle. Your body and clothing accumulate static electricity. That static electricity desperately wants to reach a ground point. ESD matting and flooring is intended to prevent unintentional discharges of static electricity by creating a path to ground through your body and out through the mat or floor for static electricity that is accumulated in your body and clothing.

Q: Do I still need heel grounding straps?

A: To allow the flow of electricity to reach a ground source, a heel strap must be worn if the operator is wearing non-conductive soled shoes.

Q: What does GR stand for?

A: GR stands for Grease Resistant.

Q: What types of fluids is the GR compound resistant to?

A: The GR compound is best suited for areas with water and dry debris. It is also resistant to boric acid & ethylene glycol.

Q: Is there edging available?

A: Yes, 3" edging is available in both yellow and black for 24/Seven LockSafe. Edging comes in both male and female to correspond with the male or female side of the mat. Edging comes in 3" wide by 36" long strips.

Q: How do I clean 24/Seven LockSafe?

A: Use a high-pressure hose (not to exceed 500 psi) and hot water (max 160o F) to rid the mats of oils. For best results use a mild soap or detergent with a pH between 4 and 9, to clean the mats. Do not use steam (unless specifically recommended), degreasers, or caustic chemicals. Do not machine wash or mechanically scrub the mats.

Q: Can you customize a mat to my specific requirements?

A: Yes we can. We offer 3 types of customization:

  • C1- Custom lengths
  • C2- Custom lengths and widths
  • C3- Fully custom (size & shape)

  • The level of customization by product is on the details tab at the bottom of every product page.

Q: Are the colors shown on your website the exact color I should expect to receive?

A: No, because monitors vary so there may be a slight variance in the color. If color choice is critical, we suggest that you order a sample. Due to manufacturing processes and material dye lots, color can vary, but our products fall within an industry-standard acceptable variation.

Q: Do 24/Seven LockSafe mats pose a tripping hazard?

A: 24/Seven LockSafe mats are available with 3" edging in yellow and black. The ramps allow for a smooth transition on and off the mat. The mats lock together with a patented interlock so they do not come apart, preventing the possiblity of a tripping hazard.
