During the Fisher Safety Annual Sales Meeting held in Anaheim January 19-21, Wearwell was one of just a few companies given the Outstanding Supplier Award for 2005.

This award is based on feedback from each department that deals with the supplier. For example, the operational departments at Fisher (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Sourcing, Transportation, etc) look at Overall Performance.  They evaluate on-time deliveries, % of supplier error, ease of ordering, Customer Service knowledge and accessibility, etc. The specific Product Manager also awards points, and his votes are based on program participation, volume growth, sales assistance, etc. Based on this awards system, Wearwell®'s ratings increased from 60 points in 2004 to 81 points in 2005.

Elliot Greenberg, Wearwell President and CEO, accepted the award on behalf of all Wearwell employees. During a reception held later in Nashville, he had this to say,  "I want to offer a special congratulations to everyone involved with Fisher Scientific! You have all done a fantastic job and we heard nothing but praise from every Fisher representative. But congratulations are due to everyone at Tennessee Mat Company. We won this award because of everyone's hard work and dedication to continuous improvements. Thank you!"

Not yet satisfied however, the company's goal is to receive a rating of 100 points in 2006.
